So, one of the hobbies I’ve picked up pretty recently is 3D printing / modelling.
Still very very new, but I’ve been able to knock out a couple of designs and prints that I’ve been pretty happy with.
Here’s the initial design of a phone mount for the Miata that clips into the dashboard light (No factory interior light option for the 97M’s)
And the ABS test print. I joined the two pieces with heat-press fittings (M5 x I forget..) Everything seemed good, so off to finalize.
And here’s the “production” version, printed in Overture’s Brown PETG – One day I’ll find that perfect ABS or PETG filament color match, but for now this will do.
